John Richards leads the most laps on way to win at Iowa Trucks. Rob Partridge claims the championship. John Richards won at Iowa on Tuesday 02/05 in the NSR Trucks Short Tracks Series. The ARCA Trucks Series opened up its new season with a bang at Iowa. This short track gave non-stop action from beginning to end. Congrats to John Richards for the win as it was a hard fought battle. There was 29 lead changes, constant 2 wide racing and even 3 wides with no incidents. Great driving by all. Personally I must have spent 40 laps with Brian Kenney running on my low side. There was the odd spin out if you were too brave going too low but this race was a 121 laps nail biter. Tires held up well on this demanding track. Next week we are at Milwaukee.
Jeff Ward dominates at Dover Trucks. John Richards claims the championship. Jeff Ward won at Dover on Monday 02/04 in the GTRL Truck A Series. The sense of immersion with the TSF trucks is pretty awesome. Dover presented new challenges for wheel-spin on restarts, late corner-exit handling, and a tough pit entry. Thanks to our friends at Big Dawgz for jumping in after their races. Lots of fun.
Rob Cobb takes the win and the championship at Chicago Trucks Rob Cobb won at Chicago on Sunday 02/03 in the NSR Early Bird Series. The Early Bird Season kicked off with success at Chicagoland. Congrats to Rob Cobb for a hard fought win. Only one caution flew for a more or less discussable incident. A very fast paced race with quite a stable setup made for excellent side by side racing. Thanks to all for showing up and we'll see you next week at Charlotte. Good job by all!
Rob Partridge wins a close one at Talladega ARCA Rob Partridge won at Talladega on Friday 02/01 in the GTRL Winter Cup Series. Fifteen cars went caution free for 72 laps. As the sun went down over Talladega Superspeedway, three cars had broken away due mostly to fuel and pitting issues by the rest of the field. Cobb and Partridge worked together aiming for a one-two team finish. Points-leading chase driver Richards had his eye on the win and made it 3-wide at the finish. Partridge had just enough momentum left from Cobb to clear the line first as Richards and Cobb rubbed door panels for 2nd and 3rd. Tony Ratliff continued his strong runs finishing 4th and Woody Sykes recovered from a spin on pit road to finish 5th.
