Bill Booz cruises to victory at Kansas Trucks Bill Booz won at Kansas on Sunday 04/28 in the NSR Early Bird Series 2. Excellent fast paced race with no caution. Congrats to Bill Booz for a solid win. Setup was very stable and all qualifiers were within a couple of tenths of each other. All green pit stops went without a hitch except for yours truly that got caught speeding (2mph) and was forced to do a drive through. Great job by all drivers and for sure a lot of fun. Next week we are at Iowa.
Andy Graydon takes the win and the championship at New Hampshire ARCA ![]() Andy Graydon won at New Hampshire on Saturday 04/27 in the Race2Play ARCA Championship Series. 150 caution free laps and a 1 stop strategy helped Andy Graydon overcome Jason Cotterill to take victory by just over 6 seconds. Luis Almeida was 3rd with Jamie Shorting coming home 4th (both two stopping) - the only other cars to finish on the lead lap.
Paul Sanders holds off Brandon Mayes on Green White Checker at Richmond ARCA. Shawn Massey claims the championship. Paul Sanders won at Richmond on Thursday 04/25 in the 30+ Cup Series Spring 2013. The
troublesome spot at Richmond was turn two for the 30+ field as it was
responsible for 5 of the 6 cautions. Clean cars and cars with damage
kept the drivers swapping back and forth from front to back and back
again throughout the event. Rob Partridge (pole sitter), who has been
making a statement the past couple weeks with his top finishes, led the
most laps and was leading with Paul in hot pursuit when the final
caution fell with five laps to go in the scheduled distance. Things
really took a turn when Rob, in first, and Bill, in third, went in to
take on new tires in hopes to have an advantage with the GWC. Paul
stayed out on old tires and displayed to the field how its done with the
first place finishing spot. WTG Paul! New to the 30+ field was Brandon
Mayes whom certainly made a statement with his performance. It didn't
take him long and the field could do nothing but watch him go by as he
was front up and challenging for the lead by the half way point after
starting from the rear. 30+ welcomes Brandon and congrats on bringing
her home in second on old tires! Woody Sykes is another driver you could
find up front most of the event as he lead a portion. Woody takes third
after the smoke had settled. 30+Razzorr and Matt Smith round out your
top five. Old tires prevailed this time as the guys with the new tires
fought each other for finishing spots. It was a very active event with
lots of racing throughout the field.
Woody maintains his points lead by 12 over 30+Razzorr. Paul gains 6 positions with his win and is tied with Bill Booz for third 16 points back. You can catch the 30+ crew next week as they take on the fast speeds and high banks of Talladega Super Speedway where anything can happen to shake the points and tempers up.
