Instead of always reporting on the same winners over and over, the
featured driver this week is Floyd Broadley that had a fine race until
his internet connection let him go. He was running quite good laps until
disaster struck. Interviewed after the race, Floyd sounded real
frustrated and vowed to come back with a vengeance next Tuesday. NSR
officials had to come out and administer him a dose of Valium to calm
him down as he started to tear down internet lines and neighbors started
complaining as a whole section of the state of Kentucky was without

08/11/2013  Joshua Hart holds off John Vine on Green White Checker at Milwaukee ARCA  Joshua Hart won at Milwaukee on Sunday 08/11 in the OSW 2013-summer-series. Josh Hart racks up one more win for Season 16 fending off a Green, White, Checker finish from John Vine. John Vine was trying to capitalize on tonight's race to get enough point to win the Season. As bad luck would have it, Jack Fisher's car developed a distributor problem. Which brought Fishers car behind the pit wall. And then out of the race. Tonight our pole sitter, Travis McKinney, also too had engine troubles. Was a tough break for some cars that were showing they had what it took to finish well. Just luck was not on their side tonight. With John Vines strong finish of 2nd this race got him within 6 points of the leader. Chris Walker who was trying to keep his car clean managed to pull ahead of Jack at the end with leading by 3 points. So the drivers swapped positions once the points were tallied. It was not what Chris expected tonight. Being interviewed after the race, Chris had said he felt bad for Jacks luck. Some of the drivers had said too, its part of racing. So after this race, Chris gets his first Season championship. They'll add his name to the many season champ winners here at Openspeedway. Most are many back to back winners. 08/11/2013 Brian Kenney makes a late pass to win Las Vegas Trucks. Rob Partridge claims the championship.  Brian Kenney won at Las Vegas on Sunday 08/11 in the NSR Early Bird Series 3. Another thriller of a race. Congrats to Brian Kenney for the pole and the win. At one point it looked like a caution free race, then a fuel strategy race and ended up in a GWC free for all that took care of some of the leaders on the last lap. That GWC was one of the most exciting finishes in a long time. The whole field piled into turn 1 full bore and all went well. Last lap now. Turn 1 again all is well, suddenly disaster strikes and takes out a bunch of cars. Brian Kenney was the only safe one through this melee as he was leading. Position 2 to the back saw nothing but a big cloud of grey smoke. Goody's Headache Award goes at least to 5 drivers. Great race, great finish and a lot of bent cars. Next week we are at Charlotte.
