Rob Partridge cruises to victory at Michigan ARCA Rob Partridge won at Michigan on Tuesday 08/20 in the NSR ARCA Tuesday Thunder 2 Series. One sentence by all drivers after the race: "Man Am I hot!" Great race by all drivers and congrats to Rob for the win. Steve Young took an impressive pole but was let down during the race by his pit crew that he immediately fired after the race. We'll see if he gets Chad and the boys next race. Michigan also marked the return of Jafo that ran some decent laps until he barely touched the wall out of of 2 and somehow the car disintegrated itself. Then again, it was a Wally Mart car! Fuel sort of came out into play and Paul Hahn and Brian Kenney had a fuel saving fight to the end. Great race also between Pete and John Stanley were both drivers ran different pit strategies. Goody's Headache Award goes to Floyd Broadley that hit the wall a ton coming out of turn 2 and almost drove the rest of the race without a right side door! Only one caution early in the race made this one a real thriller. Next week we are at Kentucky.

Max Theriault leads the most laps on way to win at Charlotte Trucks. Rob Partridge claims the championship. Max Theriault won at Charlotte on Sunday 08/18 in the NSR Early Bird Series 3. Another win in the books for Max that was the class of the field. Great fast paced race with only 2 cautions. Randy Eliason was able to keep up pace for a while with Max, until he got caught for speeding in the pits and relegated a lap down. A couple of slightly damaged trucks seemed to gain speed as the race progressed. The second caution came out with 12 to go and the restart was nothing short but a hornet's nest. I must have ran 4 laps side by side with Dean Geer and a second row behind with Brian Kenney and Rob Partridge. We went full out for the last 10 laps with no mishaps. Great race for second place. After the race a fight broke out in the pits between Randy and Larry and the State Troopers had to be called in, as each driver set the opponent's car on fire in the pits. Eventually it degenerated in total mayhem when supporters of each drivers broke through the fence and started settling their differences. Eventually, the National Guard got called in and used water guns and cinnamon spray to calm down the unruly crowd. Definitely a fun race with tons of action. Both drivers declined interviews with Fox1. See you all next week at Kentucky.
