Steve Young holds off Kevin Yates on Green White Checker at Kansas Trucks. John Richards claims the championship. Steve Young won at Kansas on Monday 12/09 in the GTRL Winter Truck Series. There was a caution just about every ten laps, but this was still a fun race. The setup was a little free, and a truck can get loose when someone is right on their bumper. Steve Young, Kevin Yates, and Mark Satkowiak showed the most speed tonight. Young stayed out of trouble and claimed the trophy with Yates right behind him. Miller, Sykes and Sanders round out the top five. Next week the series moves to Darlington.
Floyd Broadley makes a last lap pass to win Daytona Trucks. Rob Partridge claims the championship. Floyd Broadley won at Daytona on Sunday 12/08 in the NSR Early Bird Series 4. After a few hours of wrangling with updates, mismatches, etc... all
drivers got ready to tackle the new version of Daytona. John Stanley
took an impressive pole for this 65 lap feature. We had a decent setup
giving you the possibilities of running high or low lines. Tire wear was
not an issue. The officials called a mystery caution for debris on lap
30 and the whole field got together again. With 35 laps to go everybody
decided to turn up the wick and most of the fastest laps were run in the
second half of the race. Steve Young ran up front for quite some time
but with two to go we had a caution resetting all clocks to zero. The
two final GWC laps were something out of Days of Thunder. On the back
stretch it could have been anybody's race. Floyd Broadley was able to
clear Pete for the win by a mere thousands of a second. A great race by
all participants. After the race, there were rumors that Floyd had been
picked up by the Police for running in his birthday suit around the
house screaming: I won! I won! To be followed as all of the racers
present declined to pay his bail. | |

Paul Sanders leads the most laps on way to win at Dover ARCA. John Richards claims the championship. Paul Sanders won at Dover on Friday 12/06 in the GTRL Winter Cup Series. The Shark Energy Drink car driven by Paul Sanders took the lead on lap 61 and never looked back. Two late cautions gave Yates,Partridge, and Cobb an opportunity, but those three would finish second, third, and fourth. The battle for fifth went to Steve Young by a nose after being side-by-side for the last two laps. Kenney, Broadley,Patrick Rawicz, and Starks rounded out the top ten in our third race using fixed setups with in-race adjustments. Dover was a great opportunity to tweak the setup to suit the driver. Next week we move to Salem where the spring rubbers will be flying.
