Jason Cotterill leads the most laps on way to win at Daytona ARCA. Brian Kenney claims the championship. Jason Cotterill won at Daytona on Tuesday 12/17 in the NSR ARCA Tuesday Thunder 3 Series. Congrats to Cottie for the hard fought win at Daytona. You were the man to beat. Although we ended up being a small group for the last ARCA car race, the pack never got divided and the fight was on for 65 laps non stop. Great job by all drivers. Congrats also to Brian Kenney that takes the Tuesday Thunder Championship, followed by yours truly and Floyd Broadley in 3rd place. It was definitely a fun series, but driver numbers were just not there anymore to continue this adventure. As you might know, this was our last race in the ARCA car as the server will not be renewed next month due to low driver numbers and lack of funds. Sad for sure, but like I said in the email, you will find great racing at GTRL on Monday nights in the trucks and Friday nights in the cars. You are all welcome to race over there. Also the Sunday morning Early Birds Trucks Series will go on as usual thanks to the support of the guys at GTRL. Thanks to all for all your support through the years. Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. Tuesday nights and Thursday nights in the new year will be devoted to doing a bit of iRacing.

Tryphon Davis wins in tight finish at Darlington Trucks. John Richards claims the championship. Tryphon Davis won at Darlington on Monday 12/16 in the GTRL Winter Truck Series. The top three pulled out to a good lead in this caution free race. John Richards sat on the pole and led to the first pit stop, but a mistake entering pit road handed the reins over to Tim Miller and Tryphon Davis. They were joined by Paul Sanders, took turns leading and held everyone else at bay. The three leaders were very close on fuel, but they all made it with Davis fighting off Miller and crossed the line with about a half gallon to spare. The first three weeks of the winter series has yielded three different winners. Next week the series moves to Daytona.
Rob Partridge takes the win and the championship at Atlanta Trucks Rob Partridge won at Atlanta on Sunday 12/15 in the NSR Early Bird Series 4. Only one caution on this fast and tricky track. Floyd Broadley took the pole. As soon as the race started we saw some side by side racing for quite a few laps. A few scratches on the new paint jobs but no major issues. A few kissed the "safer barrier" and re-arranged their right side door. LOL. It ended up being a fuel run race. Some figured they could run 35 laps with 30 laps of fuel but had to change their strategy as it was simply impossible. Every single driver led some laps as strategies were all over the place. Steve Young was running up front towards the end but Partridge decided not only to take fuel but 4 tires. That 9 second lead held by Steve melted like snow in the Sahara desert. Rob Partridge ran the last laps full out and was able to pass Steve in the ending moments of the race. John Stanley's strategy left him with a dry tank with one to go. Great race by all!
Andy Graydon takes the win and the championship at South Boston ARCA ![]() Andy Graydon won at South Boston on Saturday 12/14 in the ARAIG ARCA Short Track 'Add On' Challenge S10 Series. It looked like a "battle royal" was on the cards for the win between Rob Partridge and Andy Graydon, but Rob disco'd on lap 114 of 200. It had been close for the first 100+ laps (despite 3 cautions there were sizeable long runs in between). Once Rob had gone, Andy drove to the end without any further stops as the race went green flag from lap 106 to the end on lap 200. Image:- about to complete lap 99 (lap 100 would bring out the last caution). We'd been running over 34 laps, and the gap from leader Partridge to 2nd placed Graydon had closed to less than a second.
Rob Cobb beats John Richards in 25 lap run at Salem ARCA. John Richards claims the championship. Rob Cobb won at Salem on Friday 12/13 in the GTRL Winter Cup Series. A caution at the end of the pit cycle on lap 110 of 150 left only 5 cars on the lead lap. Miller and Babb started on the front row, but it was the #22 car of John Richards who took off and led the most laps. John led 98 laps and didn't yield the lead until just before the mystery caution on lap 110. Cobb got lucky as the caution came out just as he was about the enter pit road. The #12 car was able to hang on for the last 25 laps to claim his second victory of the Winter Cup season. Jimmy Babb came back to finish 3rd with Steve Young and Brandon Jones rounding out the top 5. Next week the series moves to Phoenix.
Brandon Mayes leads the most laps on way to win at Darlington ARCA Brandon Mayes won at Darlington on Thursday 12/12 in the 30+ Cup Series Winter 2013. The second race of the eight week winter season comes to a conclusion after 100laps. Only three early catiouns left the second half of the race wide open. Your winner Brandon Mayes nursed his tires just a little but better then second place finisher Bill Booz when he passed Booz with ten to go and never looked back. This sets Mayes leading in points by only 3 as there is a three way tie for second. The points race always comes down to the last race of the season and this season is proving to be just the same. Every driver will continue to bring there A game next week at Gateway.
