Rob Partridge takes the win and the championship at Dover Trucks Rob Partridge won at Dover on Sunday 01/12 in the NSR Nortex Early Bird Series at GTRL. Well this was was a strange one. Whenever a caution came out, it seemed to be perfectly timed towards the end of fuel runs. These cautions ended up trapping a bunch of drivers a lap down. Lots of Lucky Dogs and wave arounds. Some drivers struggled almost all race to get back on the lead lap. Pace was very good and there were no major incidents to report other than people having a hard time with the tricky pit entrance. At the end of the day, Rob Partridge took another win, followed by John Stanley, John Richards, Brian Kenney and Joe Szot taking 5th place. Floyd Broadley took the pole but was never able to come back on the lead lap, being one of the trapped cars. Good fast paced race. Excellent job by all drivers. Next week we'll be at Atlanta.

Floyd Broadley was on a mission at Chicagoland. An impressive win on his part with also the fastest lap of the race. Bill Holland took the pole. A late caution came out setting the field for a mad a 5 lap dash. Second place was taken by John Richards, 3rd Robb Cobb, 4th Bill Holland and Brian Kenney rounding up the top five. Rob Partridge got squeezed in the wall by yours truly during a "senior moment". Tires lasted very well a full fuel run. A fun and exciting race as there were packs running everywhere. Rob Partridge beats Kevin Yates in 121 lap run at Iowa ARCA. John Richards claims the championship. ![]() Rob Partridge won at Iowa on Friday 01/03 in the GTRL Winter Cup Series. Another great race here at GTRL. Some of us were worrying for sure about tire wear under intense race conditions. Kevin Yates took an impressive pole in the low 23's. A very early caution came out and somehow it dictated the pace of the race as it was the only caution we had all race. Some pitted, some did not and it would change the whole landscape. Great race by all drivers with just one yellow on this though track. Eventually Rob Partridge would take the win having seriously managed his tires, followed by Kevin Yates, John Richards, Floyd Broadley and Paul Sanders with a tire failure on the last lap. There were even a few drivers running laps faster than the best qualifier at certain times. So many different strategies by so many drivers but I guess tire management was the key to success under these circumstances. Congrats to all for a fast paced fun race. Next week we are at Bristol.

Congrats to John Richards for the win, followed by Rob Partridge, Woody Sykes, Tim Kirby and Brian Kenney rounding up the top five. Excellent race by all drivers.
