Dean Geer wins final 58 lap run at Darlington Trucks. Rob Partridge claims the championship. Dean Geer won at Darlington on Sunday 02/02 in the NSR Nortex Early Bird Series at GTRL. Well it was Darlington all the way. First there was almost an hour delay before the start due to Justin Bieber being caught throwing eggs at Lee Deitz's truck. This eventually degenerated in a mega brawl in the pits. After this gigantic omelet, the race started with Lee on the pole. In the first 40 laps there was a flurry of cautions and then we went green all the way to the end. Strategy was now the key to winning this one. Congrats to Dean Geer for winning this one. This was his first win ever. After the race, Dean was so happy that he ran the whole front stretch in his birthday suit screaming: I won! I won! I won! Eventually security had to remove him and it seems that he got locked up along with Justin. This race was for sure something else. Second place went to Bill Holland, followed by John Stanley, John Richards and Rob Partridge rounding up the top five. We still have no news yet as where Dean was taken after the race but we'll keep you up to date as soon as something new arises. Good job by all. Next week we are at Texas. | |
