Rob Partridge takes the win and the championship at Dover Trucks Rob Partridge won at Dover on Monday 06/02 in the GTRL Summer Truck Series. Can anyone stop the Partridge Express? Not tonight. This was another one for Rob Partridge as he led 104 of the 112 laps. Nelson Rodrigues sat on the outside pole and ran up front a lot. Jesse Fahrenkrog and Tim Miller also had fast trucks, but their equipment and tire strategy failed them. In the end, it was Partridge pulling away from Richards and Cobb. Replay of the broadcast

John Richards strong in win at Pocono Trucks. Rob Partridge claims the championship. John Richards won at Pocono on Sunday 06/01 in the NSR Nortex Early Bird at GTRL Summer Series. 15 drivers showed up to the challenging Pocono track. Some very fast laps were posted in practice but we never saw these lap times during the race. Rob Partridge took the pole but was not able to finish the race as his truck was not cooperating. To be expected, a few cautions flew for self spins mostly, and this would set in motion all kinds of different strategies. With 2 laps to go a caution came out putting the field under GWC conditions. The restart was simply brutal, fun and exciting. John Richards beat Keith Drawdy into turn one and took the lead. The back of the field got into turn one 4 wide and the result was mega destruction and another neutralization. We finished the race under yellow. Congrats to John Richards for finishing 1st, Keith Drawdy took second place, Jesse Fahrenkrog 3rd, Bill Holland 4th and Pete rounding up the top five. It was a lot of fun and the competition was fierce. Great job by all! Next week we'll be at Richmond. See you there! | |
