However, the caution came out with 5 to go, Miller got knocked out by a thunderstorm, and Floyd Broadley put up a heck of fight on the final restart. In the end, Richards made the pass on the final lap to take the win. Broadley, Davis, Smith, and Sykes rounded out the top 5. Next week at Kentucky is the half-way mark for the summer season .
Rob Partridge takes the win and the championship at Bristol Trucks Rob Partridge won at Bristol on Sunday 06/22 in the NSR Nortex Early Bird at GTRL Summer Series. Another win for Mr. Partridge on the Bristol bull ring this time. The race was punctuated by a few normal Bristol cautions. We went green for quite a while but passed the second half of the race the adrenaline seemed to pick up tremendously. There was a major crash involving a few cars but most were able to get their rides repaired. We saw a few drivers missing pit entrance and a few drivers visiting the inside wall after getting loose or being forced down there. LOL. Goody's Headache Award can go to half the field. Nice second place for Steve Young, coming third Tim Kirby, followed by Rick Smead in fourth and Floyd Broadley rounding up the top five. Only the two first trucks finished on the lead lap. Great race by all even if it was difficult. See you all next week at Chicagoland!
