John Richards leads the most laps on way to win at Kentucky Trucks. Rob Partridge claims the championship. John Richards won at Kentucky on Sunday 07/06 in the NSR Nortex Early Bird at GTRL Summer Series. What can be said about this race? It had it all. It seems that every caution fell at a strategic time in the race. Some people had more luck with their fuel and tire strategy than others. A small group got lucky with a caution when they only had a couple of laps of fuel. Setup was stable and fast but you had to manage tire wear. Congrats to John Richards for a hard fought win. Finishing second was Randy Eliason, third place went to Floyd Broadley, fourth to Pete Rawicz and rounding up the top five Brian Kenney. We ended up with 18 lead changes and it made that race quite entertaining and exciting. Goody's Headache Award goes this week to Rob Partridge that had had to deal with an uncooperative truck. Great race by all as many could have won this one. Next week the chase starts at Charlotte. See you all there!

Andy Graydon took his first victory at Toban Short Road Circuit. One full course Caution only, following initial leader Almeida's spin into the barriers ending his race. Following the restart, some great on track battling between Jon Uyan and Graydon, with some class moves being made by both. On re-taking the lead with 11 to go, Graydon then opened up a 22 second lead with tyre preservation being his strong point yet again. Despite the small filed, it was a blast!

Rob Cobb wins on fumes at Kentucky Trucks. Rob Partridge claims the championship. Rob Cobb won at Kentucky on Monday 06/30 in the GTRL Summer Truck Series. A 62 lap green flag run setup another fuel conservation race. Cobb finished on fumes just ahead of Richards and Partridge who made an extra stop for fuel. Otherwise the setup provided great side-by-side racing for 10 laps and then tire heat forced drivers to work the track. Nie and Hensley ran up front tonight for portions of the race with Nie able to bring home a 7th place finish.
Rob Cobb wins on fumes at Chicago Trucks. Rob Partridge claims the championship. Rob Cobb won at Chicago on Sunday 06/29 in the NSR Nortex Early Bird at GTRL Summer Series. Great job by all the drivers. We had only one caution. The trucks were running a fierce pace until that caution flew. It was a critical time as the fuel window for finishing the race was real borderline. At the end of the day Rob Cobb saw the checkered flag first, followed by Floyd Broadley in second, Rob Partridge in third, Brian Kenney in fourth and Randy Eliason rounding up the top five. We had a great fast setup again but you had to watch your tires. Goody's Headache Award goes to Steve Young that had a very competitive truck but had a mishap entering the pits a bit too hot. Next week we are at Kentucky. This will be our last race before starting the chase. See you all next week!
