Low turn out and no cautions, but the race saw an intriguing battle early on between regular leader Luis Almeida and Jon Uyan. Approaching half distance Andy Graydon passed Uyan and fought for P1 with Almeida, eventually taking the position on lap 22 of 50. Almeida pitted immediately, Graydon a lap later. Initially leading on pit exit, Almeida retook the lead before T2. What ensued was a classic close road racing battle, lasting 12 laps before Graydon managed a ballsy outside line pass exiting the last turn (after managing to get an 11 mph speed advantage onto the main straight!). Over the remaining 14 laps Graydon increased his lead to over 31 seconds and took a deceptively easy win, tyre preservation being key again on the last 27 lap stint.
