08/17/2014  Rob Partridge takes the win and the championship at Martinsville Trucks  Rob Partridge won at Martinsville on Sunday 08/17 in the NSR Nortex Early Bird at GTRL Summer Series. A very exciting race for sure at this legendary track. Setup was very stable and fast but you had to watch the temps and wear on your right front tire. Most drivers did very well as we only saw one flat tire issue. Dean Geer took the pole. Nice job by Mark Satkowiak finishing second but Rob Partridge took the win. In the finishing laps, he was hounded down by a very fast Brian Kenney that unfortunately spun out in turn 3. On the final restart, Rob Partridge sailed to victory. Finishing third was Dean Geer, fourth Jerry Watson and rounding up the top five returning driver Max Theriault. Goody's Headache Award goes to Pete21 that had a power failure during the race and ended up with a DNF. Great clean race by all. Next week we are at Kansas. See you all there! 08/15/2014  Jim Scarboro makes a last lap pass to win Michigan ARCA. Rob Cobb claims the championship.  Jim Scarboro won at Michigan on Friday 08/15 in the GTRL Summer Cup Series. A last lap pass off turn 2 and some fender rubbing down the back-stretch finished off a hard fought victory for Jim Scarboro. Scarboro took the pole, but ceded 54 lead laps to Richards. A mystery caution on lap 61 of the 80 lap event stole the lead from the drafting duo of Sanders and Richards. The final restart with 9 to go setup a fierce side-by-side battle for the win between the top 6 cars. Scarboro was able to weave his way through the turbulent air with enough time to make a move on Richards for the win. Tim Kirby finished close behind in third. The Summer Cup will crown a champion next week at Bristol as Richards, Partridge, and Cobb race each other in a winner take all short track battle.
