09/07/2014  Rob Cobb wins in tight finish at Atlanta Trucks. Chris Sercombe claims the championship.  Rob Cobb won at Atlanta on Sunday 09/07 in the NSR Nortex Early Bird at GTRL Fall Series. Well it was a grand season opener at Atlanta. 100 laps pedal to the metal and only 3 cautions. We had a very fast and stable setup, but abusing your tires could cause you trouble later in the run. We had six different leaders during the race but at the end of the day, Rob Cobb would take the checkered flag, followed by Steve Young, Rob Partridge, Brian Kenney and John Stanley rounding up the top five. I would like to remind drivers that if you cause a caution, you MUST restart in the back of the field. Next week we are at Richmond for some serious short track racing. Have a nice week!
