Cole Barnes leads the most laps on way to win at Kentucky Trucks. Chris Sercombe claims the championship. Cole Barnes won at Kentucky on Sunday 11/30 in the NSR Nortex Early Bird at GTRL Fall Series. This was Cole's first win at GTRL in 2014. After finishing 2nd 5 times in his first 15 races, he took home the checkers with a great performance at Kentucky. It was a race with quite a few different strategies. For some it was sheer speed and others fuel conservation mode. A couple of cautions at the beginning would dictate such strategies. Congrats to Cole for the win, Rob Cobb finishing second, third place went to Pete, fourth to Brian Kenney and rounding up the top five Jerry Watson. Goody's Headache Award goes for the first time to Rob Partridge that ended up being let down by his pit crew. As far as the chase is concerned, Rob Cobb and Rob Partridge are now equal on points. Let's see how it plays out next Sunday at Michigan. Great race by all! | |
