12/14/2014  Rob Partridge strong in win at New Hampshire Trucks. Chris Sercombe claims the championship.  Rob Partridge won at New Hampshire on Sunday 12/14 in the NSR Nortex Early Bird at GTRL Fall Series. Congrats first to Rob Partridge, the winner of the Early Bird Trucks fall season. For most of the season Rob Partridge and Rob Cobb were running neck to neck for the title, but with a couple of races to go, Rob Cobb was unable to complete the season due to back problems. Second place overall went to Rob Cobb, third to Brian Kenney, fourth to John Richards and fifth to Cole Barnes. From 3rd place to 7th, there was only a 4 points difference. Great racing by all. It was a fun season for sure. I will give Chris Sercombe a certificate of accomplishment for having started with us at the beginning of this season with zero laps under his belt. He did quite well, considering. I know there were many mismatches, updates, etc... but at the end it is all well worth it. Should be better in the future as SVN updates won't happen any longer. As a foot note, do not do anymore SVN updates, or you will lose tracks and updates done in the past. To get back to today's race, New Hampshire as always had its share of challenges, but all drivers did quite well. Rob Partridge took the pole and never really looked back. Cole Barnes that was giving him a serious challenge towards the end of the race had a lazy spin and was forced to take "the dreaded extra set of tires" which put him at the end of the drivers on the lead lap. The race was punctuated by a few cautions but we did not see any major wrecks. Thanks to all drivers for showing up and making Sunday mornings quite interesting. We have a great bunch a good, great, and very respectful friendly drivers. A hard recipe to beat. We have two fun races over the holidays, and on January the 4th, we'll start the winter season at Iowa. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Be safe on the roads if you have to drive.
