02/18/2015  John Richards takes the win and the championship at Kansas Cup  John Richards won at Kansas on Wednesday 02/18 in the NSR Insomniacs Series. The grand opening of the Wednesday night Insomniacs Series was held at Kansas. 24 drivers showed up for this one. Paul Sanders took the pole. The setup was very competitive but you had to watch tire wear. The caution flag flew a few times but we also had some decent green flag racing. When the last caution came out on lap 78, all cars headed in the pits for a brand new set of tires. Those last 20 laps were just incredible as all drivers were pushing it to the max and with a couple of laps to go some were getting tire warnings. The battle finished with John Richards taking the checkered flag, followed in second by Steve Young, Rob Cobb in third, Patrick Rawicz in fourth and rounding up the top five John Vine. The Goody's Headache Award goes to our pole sitter Paul Sanders that had a flat tire with a few laps to go. Great race by all and see you all next week at Homestead.
