Max Theriault makes a last lap pass to win Atlanta Trucks. John Richards claims the championship. Max Theriault won at Atlanta on Sunday 03/15 in the NSR Early Birds Winter Series. Congrats! Great race by all the 26 drivers that showed up. No cautions! Bill Holland took the pole. We had five sets of tire for this race and most drivers ended up with a spare set at the end of the race. Tire management was a must on this one especially if no yellows were to fly. A few drivers got caught speeding in the pits during green flag stops. At the end of the day, Max Theriault would take the win with a last lap pass in turn one on John Richards that would end up taking second. Third place went to Bill Holland, fourth to Rob Partridge and rounding up the top five Woody Sykes. Excellent job by all drivers that showed patience throughout the whole race. Next week we are at Chicagoland. Â

John Richards takes the win and the championship at California Cup John Richards won at California on Wednesday 03/11 in the NSR Insomniacs Series. 30 drivers showed up for the Insomniacs Series at California. Great track building and setup allowed for some serious door to door racing. Rob Partridge took the pole. We went for a whole fuel run before the first caution flew due to a car that had run of fuel after the start finish line. We saw quite a few three wide racing situations but no wrecks. The race ended with John Richards taking the checkered after a fierce battle with Rob Cobb finishing second by a hair, third place went to Tim Kirby that had managed his race and tires very well, in fourth place was Tim Miller and rounding up the top five Brian Pace. Restarts were excellent and absolutely no issues were found. We found most cautions caused by vehicles going a bit high out of turn 2 and bouncing of the car on the high side. All things considered a very good race by all drivers, lots of competition and of course a lot of fun. Next week we are at Pocono!
