05/10/2015  Rob Cobb cruises to victory at Gateway Trucks. Chris Melton claims the championship.  Rob Cobb won at Gateway on Sunday 05/10 in the NSR Early Birds Summer Series. Another great race by all drivers with just two early cautions. Chris Melton took a blistering pole at the one and a quarter fast mile. Through green flag pit stops and strategy, Rob Cobb was able to pass the king of the Sunday morning truck series. After 111 laps the results had Rob Cobb as the winner, Rob Partridge second, Chris Melton third, Dean Geer fourth and Jerry Watson rounding up the top five. Tires could have been an issue here but all drivers managed better than expected. The Goody's Headache Award goes to Les Sheets that had an encounter with the safety barrier early in the running and had to retire his truck. Next week, we are at Phoenix for the Desert Duel 100.
