07/01/2015  John Richards takes the win and the championship at Iowa Cup  John Richards won at Iowa on Wednesday 07/01 in the NSR Insomniacs Series. 24 drivers showed up for the last race of the chase in the Insomniacs Series. Rob Partridge took the pole. An excellent race with 32 lead changes overall. Some of the chasers had unfortunate finishes in this race as the competition level was quite high. We saw 3 wides and even 4 wides at this track. Amazing control by some drivers. At one point we saw five of the chasers duking it out up front. Positions would swap on almost every lap and watching the race you could feel the tension building. The race finished as expected under GWC conditions and John Richards took the race win and the championship. Congrats to John and to all chase drivers for a valiant effort. Also thanks to all drivers for showing up all season. It was a lot of fun and a highly contested series. The chase finished with John Richards taking the trophy, followed by Mr. Comeback Paul Sanders, Rob Cobb took third place, fourth went to Brian Kenney, fifth to Patrick Rawicz and the final spot went to Rob Partridge.
