Ken Manzella won at Atlanta on Sunday 07/19 in the NSR Early Birds Summer Series.

Another fun Sunday morning trucks race. This one would take a special turn at the end. 25 drivers showed up at Atlanta and Chris Melton got the pole. We saw four early cautions and the rest of the race went green putting drivers in different fuel and tire strategies on the lap 41 restart. Another stop under green and suddenly it became a fuel race. With a handful of laps left, the leaders had to pit opening the door to some drivers that were on a different fuel strategy. We ended up with only 6 cars on the lead lap. Ken Manzella would take the checkered, followed by Floyd Broadley, Paul Hahn, Pete Rawicz and John Richards rounding up the top five. A different kind of race for sure. Goody's Headache Award goes to our series points leader Chris Melton that got disconnected early in the run. Great job by all drivers.
