10/21/2015 Chris Melton wins season opener at Kansas Cup. John Gallagher claims the championship. Chris Melton won at Kansas on Wednesday 10/21 in the NSR Insomniacs Invitational Fall Series. The Insomniacs new season opened up at Kansas. John Gallagher took the pole. We saw quite an abnormal number of cautions in this race. Mostly drivers getting loose on old tires and too much fuel in the tank. We also saw two major wrecks under caution which is totally unacceptable. Caution comes out, we slow down! Fun race but weird race were drivers got caught in incidents as innocent by-standers. From the get go, it looked like there was five laps to go. There were also shenanigans during the race and these issues are going to be addressed with these specific drivers. Goody's Headache Award goes to Tim Kirby that had some internet issue. At the end of the night, Chris Melton took the win, followed by Rob Partridge, third place went to Ron Caranci, fourth to Brian Kenney and rounding up the top five Chris Jimison. Next week, we are at California. Also we will enforce the two races with two cautions and you're parked for one race rule and hand out infractions for either un-sportsmanship like driving or plain bonehead moves including not holding your line correctly or wrecking drivers under caution or in the pits. Calmer heads will have to prevail. Drivers showing up late with zero practice will also be asked to leave. ? Results Insomniacs Invitational Fall Series Standings | |
