Dan Boersma cruises to victory at Montreal Cup. John Gallagher claims the championship.



Dan Boersma won at Montreal on Wednesday 12/02 in the NSR Insomniacs Invitational Fall Series.

22 drivers showed up for one of the most challenging circuits on the schedule. Montreal Circuit Gilles Villeneuve was all that we expected. We saw a lot of cars missing the hairpin and also missing the last corner known as the wall of Champions. Dan Boersma ran the perfect race and finished first. In second we find Chris Melton that ran a trouble free Sunday drive style race, third place went to the 21 car relief driver Patrick Rawicz, fourth to Kyle Pilman that fought tooth and nail for this position and rounding up the top five Matthew Eachus that had his share of mishaps during the race. Goody's Headache Award goes to Jay Crabill that was forced to quit after being rear ended by a car. A difficult race for sure but happy to see that Fred Hensley was able to finish this one without too many problems. One of the nicest scenes in the broadcast was the car of Larry Norman taking off in the air in the last corner slamming the wall at 8 feet from the ground and being able to continue without too much damage. Great stunt! See you all next week at Michigan.
