Chris Melton wins Iowa Trucks Chris Melton won at Iowa on Sunday 12/06 in the NSR Early Birds Winter Truck Series. Race #2 of the winter trucks season was at Iowa. Although the setup was more than challenging giving the truck an out of control attitude, we only saw 2 cautions in this 150 lapper. Dean Geer took the pole. Tires could have been an issue but drivers managed just fine with what they were given. At the end of the day, Chris Melton took the win having better tires than the rest, followed by Rob Partridge in second, third place went to Kyle Pilman, fourth to Woody Sykes and rounding up the top five Chris Jimison. Goody's Headache Award goes to John Vine that after many attempts could not start the race as he would get disconnected when it changed to the race session. Great job by all drivers for having survived this one. Next week we are at Texas. See ya then! | |
