Chris Melton wins season opener at Charlotte Cup



Chris Melton won at Charlotte on Tuesday 03/08 in the NSR Tuesday Thunder Series.

Twenty nine drivers showed up for the Tuesday Thunder series opener. Rob Partridge took the pole but unfortunately got disconnected early in the race. There were only three cautions as the fourth one was a bug with pit entry. Lots of different strategies were displayed and some drivers ran out of fuel late in the race. At the end of the night, Chris Melton would take the win, second place went to Brian Kenney, third to Ken Manzella, fourth to Ron Caranci and rounding up the top five John Vine. Great job by all the drivers for an action packed low caution count race. Thanks to Brian Kenney and Ken Manzella for having taken over the admin duties as my headset went south. Next week we are at California. See you then!
