01/25/2017 John Richards wins in tight finish at Michigan Trucks John Richards won at Michigan on Wednesday 01/25 in the NSR Trucks Insomniacs Winter Series. Could have been a great race as the setup was flawless but some drivers showed no give and it resulted in a high amount of cautions. Very unfortunate for the guys running for the championship having to either run 55mph or threatened by some drivers showing very little respect and patience. The issue of drinking and driving does not seem to have been settled yet and after a long discussion post race with some drivers and admins, it has been determined that if a driver is deemed under the influence before the race, he will simply have to sit in and watch. There was also the case of some driver wrecking on purpose to cause a caution and then escaping. This driver is now parked. We enjoy and welcome all drivers, but sometimes, the axe has to fall! I'm sure most drivers understand. We are here to race and have fun, but if you cannot control yourself please watch and enjoy the race. Spectating can also be fun.
