08/18/2013  Max Theriault leads the most laps on way to win at Charlotte Trucks. Rob Partridge claims the championship.  Max Theriault won at Charlotte on Sunday 08/18 in the NSR Early Bird Series 3. Another win in the books for Max that was the class of the field. Great fast paced race with only 2 cautions. Randy Eliason was able to keep up pace for a while with Max, until he got caught for speeding in the pits and relegated a lap down. A couple of slightly damaged trucks seemed to gain speed as the race progressed. The second caution came out with 12 to go and the restart was nothing short but a hornet's nest. I must have ran 4 laps side by side with Dean Geer and a second row behind with Brian Kenney and Rob Partridge. We went full out for the last 10 laps with no mishaps. Great race for second place. After the race a fight broke out in the pits between Randy and Larry and the State Troopers had to be called in, as each driver set the opponent's car on fire in the pits. Eventually it degenerated in total mayhem when supporters of each drivers broke through the fence and started settling their differences. Eventually, the National Guard got called in and used water guns and cinnamon spray to calm down the unruly crowd. Definitely a fun race with tons of action. 08/15/2013  Steve Young takes impressive win at Michigan ARCA  Steve Young won at Michigan on Thursday 08/15 in the 30+ Cup Series Summer 2013. Steve Young shows em how its done by leading the most laps and fending off three wide racing on the final restart with 14laps left. Great job Steve! It was an exciting, white knuckle event with only two cautions. 5laps to go Steve had some breathing room as it was a three car race for second. Next week we finish up our summer season at Bristol.
