Dean Geer wins final 58 lap run at Darlington Trucks. Rob Partridge claims the championship. Dean Geer won at Darlington on Sunday 02/02 in the NSR Nortex Early Bird Series at GTRL. Well it was Darlington all the way. First there was almost an hour delay before the start due to Justin Bieber being caught throwing eggs at Lee Deitz's truck. This eventually degenerated in a mega brawl in the pits. After this gigantic omelet, the race started with Lee on the pole. In the first 40 laps there was a flurry of cautions and then we went green all the way to the end. Strategy was now the key to winning this one. Congrats to Dean Geer for winning this one. This was his first win ever. After the race, Dean was so happy that he ran the whole front stretch in his birthday suit screaming: I won! I won! I won! Eventually security had to remove him and it seems that he got locked up along with Justin. This race was for sure something else. Second place went to Bill Holland, followed by John Stanley, John Richards and Rob Partridge rounding up the top five. We still have no news yet as where Dean was taken after the race but we'll keep you up to date as soon as something new arises. Good job by all. Next week we are at Texas.
John Richards takes the win and the championship at Toledo ARCA John Richards won at Toledo on Friday 01/31 in the GTRL Winter Cup Series. He restarted third and rocketed past the cars on two tires to take the win. The season finale is next week at ORP with Richards holding a 3 point lead in the point standings.

John Richards takes the win and the championship at Nashville Trucks John Richards won at Nashville on Monday 01/27 in the GTRL Winter Truck Series. For awhile it looked like Partridge and Powell would decide this one, but a wreck racing for the lead with 7 laps to go put Powell in the back and gave a few drivers an opportunity to use their last set of tires. Richards used the last two restarts to go from 11th to victory lane.He has four wins this season and leads the points chase by 4 points with three races to go. Next week the trucks go to Talladega.
Rob Partridge takes the win and the championship at Phoenix Trucks Rob Partridge won at Phoenix on Sunday 01/26 in the NSR Nortex Early Bird Series at GTRL. Another great race with two early cautions and then green to the end. Some people enjoyed the setup others did not, but at the end of the day, Rob Partridge would take the win, followed by John Richards, Brian Kenney, Joe Szot and Steve Young rounding up the top five. Different strategies played out during the race, but it seems that taking fuel and tires as late as possible on the last stop would guarantee you a decent finish. All cars were able at one time or another to run in the 27 second bracket. Great race by all drivers on this challenging track. Next week we are at Darlington for the Southern Comfort 100!
John Richards takes the win and the championship at USA ARCA John Richards won at USA on Friday 01/24 in the GTRL Winter Cup Series. An important race with only 3 Â to go in the playoffs. Yates came into the night with a 2 point lead over Sanders. Richards took the win while Sanders regained the points lead. The two point leaders were the only cars on the lead lap when the caution came out with 10 to go. Richards got on a different tire strategy midway through the race to take the lead from Yates. He then led the rest of the way and held off Sanders on the second Green/White/Checker. The top 5 are separated by 5 points as the series goes to Toledo.
